aight, aight.. so this post will explain who is the gamblerz crew. and why do i talk so much about them. ah no, i'm not only talk so much about em, but i also love and adore em! yeah. Gamblerz Crew is a Bboy or Break dance crew from South Korea. As the other Korean Bboy Crews, their powermove and technical skills are madly dope! I think they're pretty much the one who lifted up the bboy scene from underground in Korea. Gamblerz Crew was originally named Gambler Crew, formed in 2002 by Bboy Music (Kim Jung-Dae), Darkness (Chang Kyung-Ho), Seven (Oh Se-Bin), Lazer (Lee Kwang-Sun), Still (Park Ji-Hoon), and Bruce Lee (Shin Kyu-Sang). Bboy The End (Kim Yeon-Soo) and Bboy So/King So (So Jae-Hwan) were also members of this crew, but they weren't officially in it. Together, they made it to Battle of The Year 2003, and got 3rd place. Imagine, 3rd place at the world's most prestigious bboy competition, just a year after they were formed!

In 2004, they said that bboy music was in hiatus from dancing, but it didn't stop them. Bboy Darkness was in charge of them after bboy music left. They went to BOTY once more, and voila, they won! they got the 1st place. Along with that, new members has joined in, and Sebin left to form a new crew called Maximum Crew. As the first winner, they have a free pass to go to BOTY 2005, unfortunately, they only got 3rd place at this one. The first place goes to another korean bboy crew, Last for One. In my personal opinion, i think Gambler has a better concept of show than Last for One, but their moves were a bit messed up, while Last for One did it clean. So i think that's why the judges chose Gamblerz into the 3rd place. They also took a tour around Europe and USA for several years and won some competitions. And i think they change the name Gambler into Gamblerz around 2006/2007, they won the Bboy Hodown 2006, in Texas and also The Olympic Trophee Master in 2007. Around these years, members of Gamblerz has many changes of formation, while Lazer left, new members keep coming in.

All of a sudden, Bboy Darkness decided to leave the crew in 2008. Rumors said that the other members vote him out beacuse he spent Gamblerz's money to buy expensive cameras & electronics, but i don't buy that. He wrote a separation letter about it, saying that he and sebin, also lazer and music would perform under the name of their original name, Gambler Crew. They wanted to be an experimental crew, doing bold bboying and stuff. He said that as Gamblerz became more and more famous, he found himself disappearing. He only wanted to find the happiness of dancing, not visual materials. He also said that Gambler won't enter battle competitions. Meanwhile, Bboy Sick took the lead of Gamblerz, and theyestablished U.V. Dance Studio and Academy as their practice studio and to train new bboys and bgirls. They also won the R16 International and once again, they won The Olympic Trophee Master.

In 2009, they went to the BOTY once again, and off course once again they won the 1st place! They were the only crew that have won BOTY twice! Amazing, right? I didn't hear much of info after they won the BOTY 2009, but from what i've seen on some of the members facebook, they did some competitions, and some members travels separately to do some events. Their upcoming events is The Cyon Bboy Championship 2010, which will be held in May 10, 2010 in Busan. I saw Bruce Lee's wall to King So about this event, he said "I'm ready, we're gonna smoke them!" damn, i wish i could see this show :""""(( Oh, new members are still coming in 2010. Oh, and as the winner of BOTY 2009, off course, they had a free pass to perform at this year's BOTY! Man i can't wait to see it ! I love love love 'em! They're such a great crew. Well off course there's a lot of great crews out there, but gamblerz has took my heart away. So, till next time :)
